Bryn Freedman is an award winning executive producer, journalist and author. She has worked at ABC, NBC, The Oprah Winfrey Network, Lifetime, A&E, History Channel, TLC, and the Discovery Channel, to name a few. Ms. Freedman won accolades as the original Executive Producer of the Emmy and PRISM Award-winning documentary series, "Intervention," which garnered the Entertainment Industry's top honor, The President's Award, for a ground-breaking series and the accurate portrayal of drug and alcohol abuse. Ms. Freedman also launched the award winning series "Second Look." In addition to her work as an Executive Producer of documentary programs, Ms. Freedman has received other awards such as an Emmy Award, an AP Award, an award from the Society of Professional Journalists and was named Best News Reporter by Philadelphia Magazine for her work as an investigative reporter. Ms. Freedman served as Acting Bureau Chief for ABC News in Los Angeles where she oversaw the western news coverage for Good Morning America, World News Tonight and Nightline; She went on to work closely with Barry Diller, then Chairman and CEO of USA Broadcasting, where she was instrumental in developing a number of news projects including an award winning local newscast which was named "the best news program in South Florida." Ms. Freedman spent seven years as an adjunct professor at USC's Annenberg School of Journalism and is the co-author of book, In Eddie's Name, a critically acclaimed nonfiction account of a 1994 murder case in Philadelphia, which exposed critical failings of the city's 911 emergency response system. Ms. Freedman has also served as a board member on for the international human rights anti-slavery organization Free the Slaves and co-chaired the annual Freedom Awards. In 2012, Ms. Freedman co-founded Voices4Freedom with Free the Slaves' co-founder Peggy Callahan. Voices4Freedom uses media, education and entertainment to harness direct support for frontline work against slavery. In addition to Voices4Freedom, Bryn and Peggy also started So Fun Productions., dedicated to producing thought-provoking, quality television. She lives in Los Angeles and is the mother of three children.
