Hannah is a director and a Canadian Screen Award-nominated writer and actor, recognized as a TIFF Emerging Canadian Filmmaker and a Playback 5 to Watch. Her work spans feature films, shorts, television and commercials, and has screened at Cannes, Palm Springs, and TIFF. Hannah's feature "The Boathouse" won Grand Prize at Rhode Island International Film Festival 2021, and Best Feature Thriller at San Diego international Film Festival 2021. Her most recent short, "Succor", premiered at TIFF 2020. Hannah also directed Lifetime Film "Caught in his Web", executive-produced by Whoopi Goldberg and starring Garcelle Beauvais. She has directed commercial campaigns for The Raptors, The Blue Jays, Scotiabank, TD bank, and more. Hannah is also the co-creator, writer and producer of "Whatever, Linda", a landmark web series that has won 20 awards to date - including the inaugural Canneseries In Development competition at MIPtv - and is being adapted into an hourlong cable series with Bell Crave, EP'ed by Graeme Manson (Snowpiercer, Orphan Black). As a writer, Hannah has written on Workin' Moms (Netflix), Find Me in Paris (Hulu) and in the writers room of Orphan Black. Hannah Christine Shetler was born in the small town of Goshen, Indiana to Beth and Jay Shetler and is the youngest of two. Painfully shy as a child, she grew up with a passion for imagination, constantly dressing up in anything she could find around her home, from blankets fashioned into princess dresses, to an adventurer's jungle apparel made entirely from mud. Growing up in a big, tight-knit family, she had a plethora of cast and crew members at her disposal, never failing to force her cousins to partake in endless performances directed, produced, choreographed, and, of course, starring herself. She started acting in the theatre when she was 6 years old, and began her professional career at the age of 9. Some of her most notable roles on stage include Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker, Ramona Quimby in Romana Quimby, and Jane Banks in Mary Poppins.
